Take a guided gallery walk and wrap your brain around fabrics from around the world. Back in the studio, work together to build a loom, weaving colorful patterns while making new memories. Take your looms home to make art a part of the fabric of your lives.
$20 per adult-child pair; $15 for MIA members; $7 each additional parent or child. Drop in as you like. SPECIAL EVENT Winterlights: Celebrating the Season Thursday, December 27, 20121 p.m. 7 p.m. Museum-wide Experience the warmth of winter holidays celebrated around the world, such as Eid al-Adha, Bodhi Day, Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. View stunning objects that celebrate the triumph of light over darkness and lead us into the New Year. Hear stories of redemption, renewal, and regeneration.
