Classes, Lectures, and Events

Beyond the galleries, the Institute offers a wide range of ongoing adult, youth and family programs.

Adult Classes

Taught by professors and artists, these classes are designed for adults, and cover a variety of topics. Offerings include art history subjects that complement and enrich the experience of viewing art, as well as sketching classes in the galleries.

Classes and workshops for students ages four to sixteen explore art by visiting galleries and working in the studio with accredited art educators and artists.

Classes in the Minneapolis city parks and visits to the museum from the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board locations serve children and families citywide.
