This installation comprises about 30 concert posters from the late 1960s that took place at the Fillmore Auditorium and Avalon Ballroom. It features work by such accomplished designers as Stanley Mouse, Rick Griffin, Victor Moscoso, and Wes Wilson for shows by the Grateful Dead and other San Francisco bands. These eye-popping posters consistently use dense imagery, bright colors, and lettering that is difficult to read. All the work was generously lent by local collectors Paul Maurer and Scott West.
