Find Yourself Face to Face

Cast of Characters: Give your students a chance to practice writing dialogue by imagining a conversation among the "Face to Face" images. What would the faces say to each other if they were exploring your school for the first time? What would surprise them? What would they learn from observing you?

Around the World: Use a map or a globe to locate where all of the "Face to Face" works came from.

At the Museum: There's nothing like a familiar face! Visit the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to see the works in "Face to Face," as well as other portraits found throughout the galleries.

Your Own Exhibition: Use the Art Collector feature of ArtsConnectEd to have students make their own exhibits. Select a group of images from the collection and write labels for them. Click here to access the collection. Click here to learn more about Art Collector.
